LAHORE– The lawyer group in Pakistan claims that wearing black suits and white shirts as a uniform is their exclusive right, and they have threatened to take action against waiters at hotels and wedding halls who dress in a manner close to their uniform.

The Punjab Bar Council, Islamabad Bar Council, and Balochistan Bar Council made the strange demand. The lawyers’ representative bodies have written letters to authorities in their respective areas, expressing their concerns.

Waiters used to wear black suits and white shirts in most parts of the world, but it should be noted that the same attire is worn by people at weddings, in the workplace, and in other areas.

Thousands of citizens would be unable to wear black suits if the ban were to be enforced.

“It has come to our attention that many of the hotel and marriage hall employees are dressed in the uniform of lawyers. “A Law Graduate cannot wear the proper uniform of a lawyer until he passes the entry test and completes his six-month training period,” states the Punjab government in a letter.
