The body of Begum Shamim Akhtar, mother of former Prime Minister and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif, has been flown to Lahore from London.
PML-N President Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz received the body of Begum Shamim Akhtar at Lahore Airport. Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif’s sister Kausar Begum also arrived in Lahore with the body.
Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif’s mother Begum Shamim Akhtar’s body was taken to Jati Amra Sharif Medical Complex for burial. Her funeral prayers will be offered at Sharif Medical Complex at 1.30 pm.
According to family sources, Begum Shamim Akhtar will be buried next to Mian Sharif.
besides this Shahbaz Sharif has reached the residence of Jatiya Amra from Sharif Medical Complex.
While The Punjab government has released Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz on parole for five days.
It may be recalled that Begum Shamim Akhtar’s funeral prayers were also offered at the Regent’s Park Mosque in London yesterday. In which Nawaz Sharif, Hussain Nawaz, Hassan Nawaz, Ishaq Dar, his son Ali Dar and close relatives were present.
However, The funeral will be held on Sunday in which only members of the Sharif family will participate.
