Sources say that nine out of 22 power plant projects have been complete in the energy projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Nine of 22 power projects were concluded with 5,320 megawatts of electricity produced by the country to meet the target power supply. Data indicate that 1,320 MW of coal-fired plants have been constructed in Sahiwal, Port Qasim, and China Hub.
Other projects include 660 MW Engro Thar, 400 MW Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park, and eight more 4,470 MW power projects, including Kohala, Thar, Azad Pattan, and others. The project has started its final phase.
If the projects are completed, after the energy gap is overcome, the country will export electricity. It is worth noting that particular focus has been devoted to CPEC energy ventures.
