Asif Ali Shah, the father of Dr. Maha’s, who allegedly committed suicide in Karachi’s Defense area, filed a petition in the court to form a medical board.
Dr. Maha’s father has filed a petition in the Additional District and Sessions Judge’s Court seeking reinvestigation of his daughter’s alleged suicide. Asif Ali Shah has taken a stand in the petition that the police declared the incident as suicide and gathered evidence in this regard is not valid. At the same time, the postmortem of the doctor also gave a false report. Therefore a medical board will be formed to reinvestigate the matter from all levels. Graves and exhumations, autopsies, and further medical examinations should be allowed.
The petitioner said that Dr. Maha Shah was given poison and too many drugs before his death.
It is to be noted that Dr. Maha Shah had allegedly shot himself in Karachi’s Defense area last month. The case of the incident has been registered in the complaint of his father. The application for the medical board will be heard on September 19.
