Egyptian tourism to return after five months hiatus

Egypt is all set to open its door for the tourist from 1st September after five month break caused by corona virus pandemic.
The decision made by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to follow strict precautionary measures against coronavirus and closed all the tourist spots .
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced the reopening of tourist sector with precautionary measure.
Tourist spots are to operate at 50 percent of their maximum operating capacity, while tourist transport (buses, limousines and golf carts) must carry only 50 percent of their maximum capacity and leave two seats between each passenger.
The head of the Cultural Tourism Marketing Committee in Upper Egypt Muhammad Ottman said that tourist and hotel establishments in Luxor and Aswan have completed prepared themselves to receive foreign and domestic visitors with full precautionary measure.
He further added that tourists from Poland and Belgium will be the first to visit archaeological and cultural sites, then followed by groups from Japan, South Korea and France throughout the month. So all the tourist will visit archaeological and cultural sites in small groups to avoid the spread of corona virus.
