The provincial information minister’s portfolio has been withdrawn from Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan and handed over to Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, former special assistant to PM Imran Khan for information and broadcasting.
According to the notification, Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan will now be the Minister for Colonies only.
Simultaneously, a notification has also been issued for the appointment of Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan as a Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
However, It may be recalled that Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan was removed from the post of Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Information and Broadcasting on charges of making assets over his income and exceeding his powers.
