The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing has completed preparations for a major operation against those elements who have created false identities on social media websites such as Facebook and are defrauding citizens of their hard-earned money.
According to FIA sources, citizens’ fake IDs are being created in order to loot their relatives and close friends, and such cases are increasing on a daily basis.
They claimed that “the Cyber Crime Wing will very soon bust the entire network behind the fake IDs.” The FIA received more than 3,000 written complaints from citizens alleging that money was “extracted from their close relatives through social media fraud” in the first three weeks of July 2021, according to the sources.
