Prime Minister Imran Khan has called on Finance Minister Hafeez Sheikh. Who lost the election against the opposition candidate in the Senate, and expressed full confidence in him.

However, after an important meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan today, Hafeez Sheikh has decided not to resign from his ministry and continue with his responsibilities.

The Prime Minister also expressed full confidence in Hafeez Sheikh during the meeting and directed him to continue his work and also appreciated his role in leading the country’s economy towards betterment.

It is to be noted that Hafeez Sheikh was contesting the general seat of Islamabad in the Senate elections but his opponent Yousuf Raza Gilani defeated him by 5 votes. The government hoped for the success of Hafeez Sheikh in the Senate elections for 6 months. Appointed Federal Minister of Finance.

However, Hafeez Sheikh has failed to get elected as a Member of Parliament, so he cannot remain in the post of Minister after June 11. If the government wants to keep him in the post, it can give him the responsibilities of Finance Adviser.
