Former Bangladesh under-19 cricketer Mohammad Sozib has allegedly committed suicide due to a lack of professional cricket opportunities. The body of 21-year-old Mohammad Sozib was found hanging from a fan in Durgapur’s room.

According to Bangladeshi media, he did not wake up late on Sunday morning when his father peeked into the room where he was seen hanging from a fan.

On his information, the police broke down the door and took out his body. The local police have declared the death of Sajib Hussain as a case of suicide and started an investigation. Mohammad Sozib started his career in 2018 and scored ten runs at an average of 5 in 3 matches. However, he did not get a chance to play professional cricket since 2018. Sujee was not part of the upcoming Bangabandhu Bandhu T20 Cup drafts. Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Games Development Manager Abu Inam said he thought Sozib was forced to take such a drastic step because he was left out of the tournament.
