The All Pakistan Colleges and Academies Association has announced the opening of educational institutions from 1st January. According to details, the central officials of the All Pakistan Colleges and Academies Association held a press conference at Stars College on Lower Mall Road. They announced to open educational institutions across the country including Lahore from 1st January 2021.
Chairman Rana Ansar said that the closure of educational institutions was causing educational loss and all private colleges would be reopened from January 1 under Corona SOPs. The association demanded that the government reverse its decision to provide electricity to educational institutions on a commercial basis. During a press conference, Rana Adil said that the Punjab government had registered cases against teachers after the Lahore rally on 17 December.
He demanded that the government immediately withdraw the FIRs registered against 500 teachers. If teachers arrested, Lahore would be cordoned off. The All Pakistan Colleges and Academies Association also chanted the slogan “Respect the Teacher”.
It may be recalled that because of the deteriorating situation in Corona, educational institutions were announced to be closed across the country. It was decided in the meeting by the Federal Ministry of Education that home learning would continue from November 26 to December 24. From November 26, online classes can be taken from all educational institutions in Pakistan.
However, schools, colleges, universities, tuition centres will all be closed. There will be winter holidays from December 25 to January 10 and children will not come to the educational institutions. The children will continue their education at home. On January 11, all educational institutions will be reopened when the situation improves. On the other hand, the Private Schools Association has also announced the opening of educational institutions across the country from January 11.
