A renowned leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Senior Lawyer Latif Khosa on Monday shared the news regarding the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, predicting that he could be freed from jail in November.

While talking to the media, Senior Lawyer Khosa claimed that the matter of the PTI founder release could be affected by the upcoming U.S. presidential elections. He suggested that if Donald Trump were to win, it might shift the political landscape in favor of the PTI founder.

Khosa also criticized Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman for his recent alignment with the government on the amendment, questioning how Rehman could support a two-thirds majority in an assembly he previously opposed.

“How can he be part of a two-thirds majority in an assembly he doesn’t believe in?” Khosa asked, highlighting concerns over Rehman’s change of stance regarding the proposed constitutional change.

To address the internal communication issues within PTI, Khosa suggested appointing Bushra Bibi, the wife of Imran Khan, as a focal person to help streamline messages and mitigate conflicting statements from party members.

Khosa alleged that U.S. diplomat Donald Lu played a role in removing Imran Khan from the PM office through a conspiracy.

It is to be mentioned here that On October 24, 62 US Congressmen called on President Joe Biden to advocate for the release of Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan and other political prisoners.

In their letter, the congressmen including prominent Muslim members Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib urged the Biden administration to seek assurances from Pakistani authorities regarding the PTI founder Imran Khan’s safety.

They also requested that US diplomats visit the PTI leader in prison and emphasized that US policy should focus on human rights conditions in Pakistan.
