Asif Basra, who showed the essence of acting in big Bollywood movies, committed suicide.
According to Indian media reports, the trapped body of 53-year-old Asif Basra was found hanging in his house in Himachal Pradesh.
In this regard, the police said that forensic teams inspect the site while the investigation is underway.
There have also been reports of Asif Basra living in a rented house for the past five years.
Film personalities have expressed deep sorrow over the death of Asif Basra and termed it as a great loss.
Filmmaker Hansel Mehta reacted to the news of Asif Basra’s death on the social networking site Twitter and expressed his grief.
Actor Manoj Bajpayee termed the actor’s death as a shock, saying that he had shot the film with Asif Basra even before the coronavirus prevention lockdown.
It should be noted that Asif Basra had an identity due to his acting in television and movies, while he is also known as a theater actor.
He has done many Bollywood films, including ‘Kai Po Che’ with the late Sushant Singh Rajput, ‘Hitchhiki’ with Rani Mukherjee, ‘Krish 3’ Hrithik Roshan, ‘Jab We Met’ with Kareena Kapoor. He has worked with Ajay Devgn and Imran Hashmi in films like ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.’ The last time he appeared in Asghar Nabi’s hot star was in the series ‘Hostages.’
