An International Webinar has been organized by the Kashmir Institute of International Relations to remember the Chota Bazaar Massacre. Muhammad Shehzad Khan President Youth Council Pakistan addressed the webinar along with International Human Rights Experts. A tribute has paid to the martyrs of Chota Bazaar Massacre. While addressing the International Webinar President Youth Council Pakistan Muhammad Shehzad Khan expressed his views that although the history of IIOJK is full of massacres, hardly a day goes by when the Kashmiris are not targeted for showing resistance to the Indian illegal occupation, But the Chota Bazaar massacre is one of the brutal bloodsheds in history IIOJK in which the Indian troops the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) slaughtered 32 civilians in the locality. On June 11, 1991, the Indian troops opened
Indiscriminate firing all the way from their camp to the densely populated downtown area of Srinagar, Chota Bazaar, President YCP added

According to the reports published in The Kashmir Times the next day, the entire area from where the dead bodies were picked and brought to the police control room, bore bloodstains. Even Amnesty International then expressed its serious concern on the horrific incident and demanded a judicial inquiry into the matter, 30 years on but memories of Chota Bazaar massacre are still fresh in the Kashmiris’ minds and the victims are still awaiting justice.

President Muhammad Shehzad Khan said that the massacres in IIOJK are ugly blots on the face of the so-called Indian democracy. The situation poses a question on the credibility of the global champions of human rights which maintain their silence on India’s death and destruction policy in IIOJK, he added

In the end, President Youth Council Pakistan Muhammad Shehzad Khan addressed the international community and human rights organizations that the bold and resilient Kashmiris are determined to carry on freedom struggle against all odds, and their unparalleled sacrifices will never go in vain.
