Hamas has accepted an offer of a ceasefire with Israel, ending a month-long war.
Hamas says the agreement was reached through Qatar’s ambassador, Mohamed Emadi, who has been meeting with Gaza and Israeli officials over the past week.
According to Hamas, the agreement will make it easier to control the corona epidemic in the Gaza Strip, and the Qatari ambassador is expected to provide 30 million in aid to Gaza.
An Israeli military spokesman for Palestine also confirmed the agreement.
The spokesman said the Gaza border would be reopened and oil supplies would resume, while the ban on the Gaza fishing zone would be lifted.
Nickolay Mladenov, the UN special coordinator for the Middle East, has welcomed the Hamas-Israel agreement.
