Japan may ease virus entry restrictions from October

According to Japan’s local media, the government of Japan is thinking of easing strict coronavirus border restrictions from October and allowing more foreign nationals to enter Japan. Currently, Tourists would still be banned, and only longer-term visas approved.

Japan currently has a ban on entry for foreigners from most countries, but it has been negotiating the gradual resumption of cross-border business travel for enhancing its economy. Business visitors are already allowed from seven places, including Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan.
