Karachi: Circular Railway will start from November 19 instead of November 16
Arrangements for the circular railway in Karachi have not been completed yet. Due to which Pakistan Railways has announced that the circular railway will start from November 19 instead of November 16.
According to Pakistan Railways sources, the 14 km track from Pipri to Orangi Town has not been completely cleared. While the stations are still deprived of basic facilities.
Railway sources said that tickets will also be available from inside the train through the ticket checker. Besides, gates are not being installed in the tracks.
Earlier, Divisional Superintendent of Railways Karachi Arshad Salam Khattak. While announcing the launch of Circular Railway in Karachi from November 16, said that the service was only for Pipri to Orangi Town.
It may be recalled that on March 6, the Supreme Court had directed the Railway Department to restore the old circular railway within six months.
