On Monday morning, Karachi had its first winter showers, with mild to heavy rain falling in various parts of the city.
A powerful westerly weather system was expected to hold much of the nation on Sunday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), and might last until Tuesday. Rain (with isolated heavy rainfall) was expected in most regions of the nation, including Sindh and Balochistan, due to the system’s effectiveness.
Quaidabad and Gulshan-i-Hadeed each received 5 mm of rain, according to a new forecast released by the Met Department today. Surjani Town had the most rain, with 4.5mm, followed by Kemari and PAF Masroor Base with 4mm. Rainfall totaled 3.8mm on University Road, 3.4mm on Jinnah Terminal, and 3.2mm on North Karachi.
According to the forecast, today’s weather will be “cloudy with intermittent rain and possibilities of a thunderstorm,”, while Tuesday will be “partly cloudy with chances of light rain.” However, on Wednesday “good” or clear weather is forecast to return.
Today’s forecast calls for a maximum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of 16 degrees Celsius in Karachi. The city is expected to reach a maximum temperature of 24°C and a low temperature of 12°C over the next two days.
