The 52 inmates at the Tihar Jail in the Indian capital, Delhi, have been placed on high alert after the coronavirus was confirmed.

According to Indian media, 35 prisoners of Tihar Jail suffering from coronavirus are undergoing treatment in hospitals.

In India, on the other hand, the emergency use of the Russian Corona vaccine Sputnik has been approved.

Indian media say Russian authorities plan to produce more than 850 million doses of Sputnik annually in India.

It should be noted that India, a country with a population of over 1 billion, has once again come second in terms of the number of patients infected with the coronavirus, where 1,71,089 deaths have been reported from the virus while 136,000 have been infected. One lakh 89 thousand 453 patients have come forward.
