In a meeting on Tuesday, state authorities and the advocate general of Islamabad analyzed the gaps in the Noor Mukadam murder case in light of the objections raised by the council before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) during the preceding of the parents of Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in the case, post-arrest judicial pleas.
The meeting’s members discussed several ideas for filling in gaps, seeking to figure out a solution in the IHC’s judgment on Zahir Jaffer’s parents’ bail requests, which is expected to be announced today (Wednesday), sources reported to Dawn.
Sources also told dawn that The meeting participants identified that the police made a huge mistake when filing the case as they could have filed it in a special court under the “Anti-Rape (Investigation and Trial) Ordinance, 2020” for access to justice instead of the ADSJ court. They thought that even though the ordinance had ended the previous month, it was still in existence when the offense was committed on July 20.
