On the directive of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar, a statue of Allama Iqbal has been removed from Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park.

Chief Minister Usman Bazdar sought a report from the DGPHA and also ordered an inquiry into the incident.

Furthermore, Usman Bazdar said that after the inquiry, those responsible should be identified and action should be taken. The incident of placing the statue in the park is the negligence of the concerned authorities.
It should be noted that the statue of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, a poet made of white lime and cement, is going viral on social media.

While The statue was erected at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore last year on the occasion of Independence Day.

Surprisingly, The sculpture is made by the Gardners of the Parks and Horticulture department. The Gardners haven’t utilized any funds of Govt.
They have used the scrap and their own pockets to build it. Only in the love of our National Poet.
