A Pakistan Army captain was martyred during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa against Pakistan Tahreek-i-Taliban (TTP) terrorist, Inter-Services Public Relation reported on Thursday.
A statement released by ISPR said that the security forces conduct an operation after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in this area. During an exchange of fire, Captain Sikander who was 27 years old was martyred.
“TTP terrorist commander Khawaza din alias Sher Khan was killed. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the sanctuary,” the statement added.
According to information received to security forces, a massive number of terrorists were present in the hideouts. During intense exchange of fire 10 terrorists has been killed which include 4 commanders.
“All of the terrorists who were wounded continued to carry out IED (improvised explosive devices) attacks, fire raids, and targeted assassinations of innocent civilians. These terrorists meant to carry out further acts of terrorism within the South Waziristan area,” according to the statement.
