The Pakistan Day parade on March 23 will be held at the President’s House instead of its usual venue, Shakarparian. The event has been scaled down due to Ramadan and cost-cutting measures by the government.
According to the Interior Ministry, only key military weapons will be displayed, and the Pakistan Air Force’s aerial show will be limited. The parade, which marks the Lahore Resolution of 1940, is usually held at Shakarparian in Islamabad.

This year, the ceremony will include a guard of honor for President Asif Ali Zardari. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the heads of the army, navy, and air force will also attend.
The event, organized by the Joint Staff Headquarters, showcases Pakistan’s military strength and unity. Cultural floats from all provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan will also be part of the celebration.
The day will begin with a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and a 21-gun salute in each provincial capital.
