The daily number of COVID cases continued to decline in Pakistan, 572 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, as per data issued by National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
According to the NCOC report, Pakistan had less than 10 deaths from the Coronavirus in a single day for consecutive two days.
572 new cases were confirmed as a result of 42,096 were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, the total number of such cases in the country now stands at 1,269,806. According to NCOC figures, six people have died as a result of the infection in the last 24 hours.
A day earlier, according to NCOC data, Pakistan had the lowest daily COVID-19 death rate of 2021, with less than 10 people dying from the virus in 24 hours. The daily death toll had risen to nine.
Apart from that, 310 people recovered from the infection, bringing the total number of persons who have recovered to 1,217,218. The total number of active cases in the country now stands at 24,196.
Pakistan, however, recorded a coronavirus positive rate of less than 2% for the 11th day in a row, at 1.35 percent.
Active cases in Pakistan dropped below 25,000 for the first time in more than seven months last week, while daily coronavirus infections reached their lowest level in a year.
