PDM considering two options for overthrowing the government

The main options for sit-ins and resignations will be considered in the PDM summit. According to details, the opposition alliance PDM is holding a meeting today in which significant decisions are likely to be taken regarding sit-ins and resignations from the assemblies.

The meeting will be attended by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former President Asif Ali Zardari through a video link. The conference will take important decisions regarding PDM’s November 13 meeting in Lahore. Apart from this, other options, including resignations from the assemblies, will also be considered.

Senior PML-N leader Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that all parties, including PPP, have agreed on resignations. Besides, the resignations were agreed upon in the APC itself.

He said that it was decided in the All Parties Conference that resignations would be made at the height of the PDM movement. Talking to a private TV program, Khawaja Asif said an idea in Pakistan Democratic Movement that resignations should be given. PPP is also reviewing the situation. If concessions are decided, the nation will know. There is no difference in PDM. All parties are on the same page. Khawaja Asif further said that the thread of accountability of parliamentarians is being drawn from elsewhere. Saleem Mandviwala has also given recusal for the Senate session.
