Finance adviser Shaukat Tarin has hinted that petrol will become more expensive as the Pakistani rupee continues to fall against the US dollar.
While speaking to the media in Karachi, Shaukat Tarin predicted that petrol would become more expensive, stating that if global prices rise, petrol will also become more expensive in Pakistan.
According to Shaukat Tarin, the ‘Satta mafia’ is responsible for the rupee’s depreciation. The dollar is being smuggled into Afghanistan, and the government is tightening the noose around the mafia.
According to the adviser, the government is working on a long-term strategy to strengthen the national economy on a sustainable basis.
