On the issue of registration of FIR against Nawaz Sharif and PML-N members, the Prime Minister has clarified that the government has nothing to do with it. According to sources, this important issue was raised and discussed before the Prime Minister at a meeting of the Federal Cabinet. Taking a clear and unequivocal stand, the Prime Minister said that the government was not in favor of political revenge and had nothing to do with the FIR against the PML-N leaders.
According to sources, during the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that when I came to know about the case, I was cutting a birthday cake. Also, the cabinet members suggested not to interfere in the FIR, but several ministers, including Shireen Mazari and Fawad Chaudhry, gave different views on the case. Federal Minister for Human Rights Shirin Mazari said the case was a violation of fundamental human rights. While Fawad Chaudhry said that cases like treason are against party policy, according to sources, two federal ministers present at the cabinet meeting opposed the dismissal of the coup case.
