Prime Minister Imran Khan accepted the request of Special Assistant for Information and Broadcasting Asim Saleem Bajwa to resign as a Special Assistant. Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa said on Twitter that he had requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to resign from the other post of Special Assistant. He thanked him for accepting the request.

It may be recalled that now Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa will continue to hold the post of Chairman CPEC Authority. After the report was posted on a website some time ago, Asim Saleem Bajwa had tendered his resignation to the Prime Minister Imran Khan, who apologized for accepting it and directed Asim Saleem Bajwa to continue working as a Special Assistant.
