Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Interfaith Harmony and Middle East Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan will leave for an official visit to Saudi Arabia on May 7.

The Prime Minister has been invited by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Special Assistant said that during his visit, the Prime Minister would hold meetings with Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia, including Prince Muhammad bin Salman, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Saudi political and religious figures.

Speaking to media at Islamabad International Airport before leaving for a visit to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, Ashrafi said that “there is a bond of faith and belief between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.”

He said that the thinking of the present government was clear and it wanted to promote cooperation in all fields including trade, economy, tourism, culture, and religious affairs.
