Islamabad, Pakistan –In a powerful and visionary address delivered during a high-profile ceremony marking Youm-e-Takbeer, Muhammad Shehzad Khan, President of Youth Council Pakistan, called for renewed national unity, regional cooperation, and global youth engagement, particularly through enhanced collaboration with the People’s Republic of China.

The event, held in the presence of Lt. General (R) Senator Abdul Qayyum Malik, President PESS, senior Chinese business leaders, dignitaries, and civil society representatives, commemorated May 28, 1998, the day Pakistan conducted its historic nuclear tests and emerged as the first Islamic nuclear power.

“This was not merely a test of technology; it was a testament to the unbreakable will of 240 million souls who chose dignity over dependency,” said Khan. “On this day, we remember that we bow only to the Almighty—not to coercion.”

He also paid tribute to the victory in Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsous under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, lauding the strategic prowess of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and the digital patriotism of Pakistan’s youth on social and cyber fronts.

“Field Marshal Munir’s leadership is the embodiment of courage matched with wisdom. His vision continues to guide a new era of strategic autonomy and regional stability,” Khan added.

In a notable highlight of his address, Khan underscored Pakistan’s enduring friendship with China, calling it a “trusted partner in progress.” He proposed a bold new phase of bilateral engagement through comprehensive youth and cultural exchange programs.

“The Youth Council Pakistan stands ready to lead meaningful people-to-people diplomacy — building bridges of understanding, harmony, and innovation between our future generations,” he stated.

“We are also committed to working jointly with our Chinese counterparts to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focused agenda on climate action, green energy, entrepreneurship, inclusive economic growth, and technological innovation.”

In closing, Khan emphasized the transformative power of youth as agents of change, vowing to mobilize young Pakistanis as “digital warriors, economic innovators, and ambassadors of peace.”

“We are not waiting for the future to arrive — we are stepping forward to shape it.”
