Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved a draft of a step-by-step textile policy towards a new Pakistan. The draft approved by Prime Minister Imran Khan proposes to increase textile exports to 20 20.8 billion by 2025.

According to the news agency, the approved draft proposes to reduce electricity and gas tariffs and increase access to new markets to increase financing, reducing the power supply to the textile sector from 9 cents to 7.5 cents. There is a proposal to provide RLNG gas at 6.5 Dollars per MMBTU.

The draft proposes to increase the use of mid-fiber from 30% to 50% by 2025, but the Prime Minister, while approving other issues, has directed that these proposals be submitted to the ECC as soon as possible. Get them approved then bring them to the cabinet where they will be given final approval.

He said that if these proposals were implemented as soon as possible, the textile industry could easily achieve its target of 2025 textile exports.
