Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, chairman of Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee, has termed the punishment of incapacity for rape as un-Islamic. Talking to a private TV channel, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman said, “I am amazed at the collective wisdom of the federal cabinet that they have come up with a solution to this problem. The people sitting in our parliament do not know what kind of legislation they are making.”

He said that Allah Almighty has prescribed the punishment of stoning for a married man in his book and a series of hadiths. Has any of our government implemented these punishments in Pakistan? ۔
If these punishments are carried out, then tell whether the crime is reduced or not.

Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman further said that he has full faith in God that this crime can be eradicated by following the punishments written in the Qur’an which is to remain till the Day of Judgment. The method of making men impotent has never been the method of Islam. For married men, adultery is punishable by stoning, while for unmarried men, it is punishable by 100 lashes. For the perpetrators of rape, the Holy Qur’an prescribes the harshest punishments in human history.

Our rulers should follow Islamic law, not impose new punishments. It should be noted that the federal cabinet has drafted a new law on punishments against the perpetrators of rape, according to which the perpetrators of rape will be disqualified or they will be given life imprisonment or execution. While the victim of rape can also prescribe punishment for the offender
