Samsung, a South Korean smartphone manufacturer, beat Apple to retake the top spot in global smartphone sales in February, according to a new study by Strategy Analytics. Due to massive iPhone 12 sales, Apple dominated the market in Q4 2020.

Samsung, on the other hand, saw a rise in demand in the previous month, enabling it to retake first place. According to estimates, in February 2021, the company delivered 24 million smartphones, accounting for 23.1 percent of the market. Apple, on the other hand, sold 23 million units for a market share of 22.2 percent.

Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, was in third place with an 11.5 percent market share, followed by Vivo and OPPO, which had market shares of 10.6 percent and 8.5 percent, respectively. It’s worth noting that none of these smartphone brands are available in the United States.
