Karachi: A citizen has approached the Sindh High Court (SHC) seeking authorization to drink up to 10 grams of hashish, but the court rejected his application. While The Sindh High Court heard a petition seeking permission to drink and possess 10 grams of hashish.

However, The court dismissed the petition and expressed anger over the petitioner. Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar said, “What kind of petition have you brought? Do you want everyone to start drinking cannabis? Tell me how much fine should be imposed on you.”

Petitioner Ghulam Asghar Sain, while making the Federal Ministry of Law and others a party, said that he is a poor man. He has come with a public interest petition, the fine for possessing 10 grams of hashish should also be abolished. In most of the countries of the world, it is allowed to drink cannabis. It will increase the income of the country will create revenue.

However, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar said that there should not be such revenue. There are other legitimate ways to increase income. If you want to drink, go to these countries, it is not allowed here. Why bring such petitions to the court.
