New inventions made in the technologies field which are emerging in the world and these technologies are being used at the government level in many countries.
One such advanced technology is going to be used in Singapore, which is called “Sing Pass.” In other words, Singapore will be the first country in the world to verify its citizens face to face. Biometric identification will allow Singaporeans to access government and private services.
Officials at Singapore’s technology agency say the technology will be the foundation of the country’s digital economy.
After successful testing of the technology at a bank, the technology is now being rolled out across Singapore.
This technology does not only identify the person in front of you but also ensures that the person is actually present.
Andrew Bud, chief executive of IProov, a British company that provides face recognition technology to Singapore, says that when you have to verify a person, you have to make sure that the person is in front of you. You don’t see any pictures, videos, or recordings.
The Singaporean government has dubbed the digital identification scheme ‘Sing Pass’, which will enable citizens to access government services.
