Christchurch: Corona tests of six squad members in the national squad were found Covid-19 positive in New Zealand. The first corona test of the national cricket team and management in Christchurch, New Zealand was taken yesterday. The results of which have come out. According to the results, 6 players have tested positive for corona.

Back in September, the sports minister of the Newzealand cricket said that if a team member of any team were found positive then this would mean the end of the tour. Although, he appreciated the players as they are taking a risk to travel in the group.

Does this mean that this tour is done and dusted? We have not got any information regarding this issue but it is being said there will be a response soon from the Newzealand cricket board.

According to New Zealand Cricket, 2 out of 6 positive members have already fallen victim to corona. The corona-affected players of the Pakistan squad quarantined themselves.

The squad members include Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Hafeez, Imam Ul Haq, and Staff member Shahid Aslam tested positive for COVID-19 at Christchurch.

Cricket New Zealand added that the most important thing for New Zealand cricket is the protection of the people. Some members of the national squad violated the SOPs. Moreover, talks are underway with the management of the visiting Pakistani cricket team. Further, they said protocols should be implemented.
