Some of our anchors take money and programs according to a specific agenda; TV owners use anchors and do not take action. Senior journalist and former chairman PEMRA Absar Alam says that media is an industry, code of conduct belongs to every industry. If media adheres to the industry, then media will not be strong if it violates law media, and its moral status will end.
Absar Alam further said that if you are pointing the finger at someone saying that you are corrupt and violating the law, then, first of all, I should not break the law, the media should follow the code of conduct itself.
Absar Alam claimed that some of our anchors take money and program under a specific agenda. I ask you the question, don’t some anchors program for money? Don’t you run the whole series with money against people and then suddenly shut up to talk about this issue?
“I wrote to a channel asking them to resolve the code of conduct dispute themselves,” Absar Alam said. So the TV owners said that we want the anchors to fight you, why should we fight the anchors? The channel owners do not want to take action against their anchors. They have to use it against me, and they have to use it against you, the anchors are also being used by someone else, they are running the whole series with money against the people, then suddenly, they are silent when they talk about this issue.
