In response, the NAB prosecutor presented a summons notice to Asif Ali Zardari in the court and said that he not only summoned the former president but also asked for a time limit for a written reply, which he has not given till date.
Lawyer Farooq Naik replied that the court had not issued any order for admissibility of the supplementary reference, adding that the NAB chairman did not have the power of supplementary reference. NAB Prosecutor Sardar Muzaffar said that NAB has the power to present evidence till the completion of the trial. New evidence is always presented only in the form of supplementary references.
