The district president of a religious party was arrested from Narowal for allegedly abusing a 13-year-old child. Qari Shahid Rafiq Madani, president of Narowal district of Tehreek-e-Labeek Jalali group, has been arrested on charges of allegedly abusing a minor. The lawsuit filed by the alleged child victim’s father states that his child is studying at Madrasa Darul Uloom Ghousia Rizvia. One day when he came home from school, he looked distraught.
At the father’s insistence, the child said that Qari Shahid Rafiq Madani in Madrasa Darul Uloom Ghousia Rizvia came to his room after Isha prayers on September 16, misbehaved with him, and did not allow him to come home for three days. At the petitioner’s request, Qari Shahid Madani was immediately arrested, and the police have started an investigation.
