In the domestic foreign exchange markets, the dollar reached its lowest level of the year against the rupee. At the interbank market, the dollar fell by 28 paise to Rs 156.71.
The dollar was valued at Rs 156.58 on March 9 last year. The dollar has depreciated by 7% since August 2020.
The dollar fell to Rs 11.72 from its highest price of 168.43.
