1772 new cases of Covid-19 and 48 deaths due to the virus were reported across the country over the last twenty-four hours.

The number of confirmed cases of Covid in Pakistan has reached 524,783. According to the latest figures from the National Command and Operations Center, 1,772 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, including 150,889 in Punjab, 237,308 in Sindh, 64,078 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 18 in Balochistan. 6,640 cases were reported in Gilgit-Baltistan, 4,892 in Islamabad, 40,304 in Islamabad, and 8,672 in Azad Kashmir.
The highest number of deaths due to Covid was in Punjab where 4,476 people lost their lives while 3,830 in Sindh, 1,799 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 460 in Islamabad, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 191 in Balochistan and 245 people have lost their lives in Azad Kashmir.
So far 7481,688 people have been tested across the country, 39,604 new tests have been done in the last 24 hours, so far 478,517 patients have recovered while the condition of 2,368 patients is critical.
On the other hand, the National Institutes of Health has confirmed a new type of covid in Pakistan. According to the National Institutes of Health, a new strain of the covid-19 virus was found in two Pakistanis. Both returned home from the UK. Punjab Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid said that four suspicious patients of the new type of covid are from Lahore. All four have been tested and sent to NIH.
