The UK stood up its Space Command, with being operational formally on April 1st.
Announced in early November 2020, the UK Space Command will take on the country’s space operations, training, and developing new space initiatives.

According to the UK Ministry of Defense, this new command is a joint venture under Royal Air Force (RAF). It is located at RAF High Wycombe, home to National Air and Space Operation Centre (NASOC). The RAF assumed the command of all UK military space activities back in 2018.

The RAF, Air Chief Sir Mike Wigston warned the country about the threats posed in the space domain as new technologies are making space operations more vulnerable and complex. Earlier RAF Chief said “When deterrence has failed and political discourse has run its course, a future conflict may not start in space but I am in no doubt it will transition very quickly to space, and it may even be won or lost in space,”
