US Consulate announces resumption of visa service for Pakistani students

Good news for Pakistani students seeking higher education in the United States, the US Embassy and Consulate in Karachi has announced that the visa service for Pakistani students seeking higher education in the United States will be restored from 1 October.

A statement issued by the US Embassy said that the visa service affected by the Coronavirus would be resumed from next month, following which the US Embassy in Islamabad and the US Consulate in Karachi would be restored. US Embassy will start accepting visa applications from Pakistani students from 1 October. A US embassy spokesman said the issuance of visas for Pakistani students was a top priority for the United States, but that all measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus have to fulfill. Work for measures and other facilities had been going on for several months in a row.

However, for those going to the embassy and consulate to obtain a visa, it is instructed to take full precautionary measures against corona, including wearing a face mask and maintaining social distance for getting the visa services. The consulate and embassy will be informed soon about the facilities.
