KARACHI: Legendary comedian Umer Sharif died on Saturday in Germany, according to ARY News.
Umer Sharif and his wife Zareen Ghazal were being flown to the United States in an air ambulance.
After the legendary comedian’s health deteriorated, the air ambulance was forced to land in Germany. Germany approved the emergency landing on humanitarian grounds and granted the comedian and his wife a 15-day visa.
Sharif was hospitalized in Berlin, where he died today.
Umer Sharif’s wife confirmed his death.
