Who conveyed General Zaheer-ul-Islam message of resignation to Nawaz Sharif?

Through whom did General Zaheer-ul-Islam convey the message of resignation to Nawaz Sharif? Rauf Klasra made a shocking revelation. Senior journalist and analyst Rauf Klasra has said that PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif revealed in his speech that during the PTI sit-in in Islamabad. Then DG ISI General Zaheerul Islam had told him that You should resign or else martial law will be imposed in the country.

Rauf Klasra said that people think that this message was given by General Zaheerul Islam himself to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Indeed General Zaheerul Islam had sent this message through a civilian person, this civilian personality is the country’s most prominent builder tycoon, who also has close ties with many political parties.

He further said that the business tycoon, after consulting his friends and close ones, then conveyed the message to Nawaz Sharif, which Nawaz Sharif heard from one ear and removed from the other and did not respond and didn’t take this message so seriously.

Rauf Klasra said that the Core Commanders Conference was held after the killing of 14 people during a police operation at Minhaj-ul-Quran Center in Lahore Model Town, which was chaired by the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif. The corps commanders agreed that the Army Chief should call on the Prime Minister and ask him to resign from Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to prevent further public backlash.

General Raheel Sharif and DG ISI General Zaheer-ul-Islam met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, discussed all issues. Still, General Raheel Sharif did not convey the message of Core Commande to Nawaz Sharif. Returning from the meeting, General Zaheer-ul-Islam was surprised. Asked if we had come here to talk about Shahbaz Sharif resigning taking responsibility for the Model Town tragedy, General Raheel replied, “No, let it be for now.”

Rauf Klasra said that perhaps Raheel Sharif himself was not convinced of the resignation of Nawaz Sharif or Shahbaz Sharif at that time. He did not convey this to him, and even during the sit-in when General Raheel Sharif did not agree with the idea that martial law should be imposed in the country. Whether General Raheel Sharif was aware of the message sent by General Zaheer to Nawaz Sharif or not, this issue is still unresolved.
