A report by the international organization Wilson Center has unveiled distressing details about the exploitation of women by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) for terrorist activities.

The report highlights how the BLA manipulates and coerces women, like Adila Baloch, into acts such as suicide bombings through intense psychological pressure and blackmail.

“When my daughter went missing, I did everything in my power to find her,” her father, Khuda Bakhsh, shared with More to Her Story. “By Allah’s grace and with the government’s help, she is back with me today.”

In Balochistan’s deeply conservative society, where family honor holds immense significance, the BLA preys on this cultural vulnerability. According to the Wilson Center report, insurgents exploit women’s socio-economic struggles, using threats of dishonor, sexual violence, and blackmail to force them into dangerous roles.

“They create fake social media profiles to gain trust, pretending to care, and later blackmail their victims into wrongdoing—targeting women especially by threatening to expose personal information,” explained Abdul Rehman, a social activist from Kech District, in an interview with More to Her Story.

Abdul Hameed, the grieving father of BLA recruit Mahal Baloch, expressed his sorrow and a heartfelt plea: “I have lost my daughter,” he said, his voice heavy with emotion. “I urge parents to guide their children toward education and empowerment, keeping them away from the clutches of terrorism.”
