Happy on joining the setup of Pakistan Cricket for a long time, Younis Khan

Lahore: Former captain Younis Khan has been appointed as the national team’s batting coach for two years.

Former captain Younis Khan has been appointed as the batting coach of the national team for two years. Younis Khan has been appointed for at least until the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The final of the scheduled event will be played on November 13 in Australia in October / November 2022.

Earlier, Younis Khan also served as the national cricket team’s batting coach during the tour of England. The former captain will now play the same role in the tour of New Zealand. While the Pakistan cricket team will leave for New Zealand on November 23.

In case of non-engagement with the national cricket team, Younis Khan Hanif Mohammad will also work as a batting coach at the High-Performance Center in Karachi. The National High-Performance Center will develop a comprehensive program in this regard.

Pakistan Cricket Board chief executive Wasim Khan says he is happy that Younis Khan will now work with us as a batting coach for at least the next two years, even though he has been with the team in England for a short time. However, the feedback we received about him during that time was excellent.

Younis Khan says he is happy to be part of the Pakistan cricket setup for a long time. He enjoyed working with the national cricket team during the tour of England. He said now he is looking forward to working with the same people again on a significant visit to New Zealand, and he is happy that his work scope has been expanded. He is also interested in working domestically to hone the skills of the batsmen.

On the other hand, the PCB has also appointed former Test spinner Arshad Khan as the national women’s cricket team’s bowling coach. While sports staff have also been announced for the tour of New Zealand.
