The two-match Test series between Pakistan and South Africa starts from 26 January in Karachi
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the names of match officials for the series against South Africa. Aleem Dar will officiate for the first time in a Test match in Pakistan while field umpire Ahsan Raza and match referee Muhammad Javed will officiate. The two-match Test series between Pakistan and South Africa starts on 26 January in Karachi.
Elite panelist Aleem Dar has officiated in a record 132 Tests since making his Test debut in 2003, while Ahsan Raza has officiated in 37 ODIs and 57 T20s. Javed Malik, a former first-class cricketer and a member of the ICC’s international panel, has refereed 10 ODIs and six T20I matches.
Asif Yaqub and Rashid Riaz will officiate as third and fourth umpires respectively, while Javed Malik will lead the playing control team for both the Tests. The second test will start on 4 February in Rawalpindi. Javed Malik will remain as the match referee for the three-match T20 series, while Aleem Dar and Ahsan Raza will serve as umpires in the first match, while TV umpire Shoaib Raza will be the umpire and Asif Yaqub will be the fourth umpire.
In the second T20, Shozaib Raza and Asif Yaqoob will be the field umpires, while Ahsan Raza will be the third umpire and Rashid Riaz will be the fourth umpire, while Aleem Dar and Rashid Riaz will be the on-field umpires for the third T20.
