The first flight of the British airline will arrive in Islamabad on 13 December. According to Civil aviation officials, The airline will be allowed eight flights a week.
Another British airline after British Airways has announced the launch of air operations for Pakistan from 13 December. Virgin Atlantic has released the schedule of air operations for Pakistan and will use the modern Airbus A332.
Preparations have been completed for the launch of Virgin Atlantic’s air operations to Pakistan. The Civil Aviation Authority has also issued slots and flight schedules. British airline Virgin Atlantic Airlines has landed 8 weekly flights. Permission has been granted, the airline has issued notifications for Lahore and Islamabad. Virgin Airlines has not been allowed to fly from Manchester to Pakistan. The airline arrived in Lahore on December 7 and 9 with cargo aircraft and crew. The first flight of British airline Virgin Atlantic will take off on 13 December for Lahore.
It may be recalled that after a long hiatus on August 14, British Airways launched its direct flights to Islamabad and on 13 October, flights from London’s Heathrow Airport to Lahore were launched by British Airways. It was decided to resume its flights to Pakistan this year and daily flights have been running since 14 August.
The British airline is providing uninterrupted flights from Islamabad and Lahore to London Heathrow to Manchester, USA, and Canada. They land at the airport while flights to Islamabad continue uninterrupted. It may be recalled that in July this year, British Airways, after getting permission from Islamabad, announced that it would resume its flight operations between the UK and Pakistan in August and chose Pakistan’s Independence Day to resume flight operations.
